Ep 261 Uncorking The Weekend: The Wine and Dine Event Guide
The Wine and Dine countdown just got real, and the details matter this year. We’re four weeks out, training is peaking, and runDisney dropped enough race-weekend updates to change how you plan your expo day, your 5K morning, and even how you think about pacing and character stops.

The episode begins with an introductions from our friends Andrew and Micah who set PRs at their event in Atlanta a couple of weeks ago. . If you’d like to introduce an upcoming episode, please reach out to us on our social media. You can also email us, or leave us a message on our hot-line (727-266-2344).
The Wine and Dine Event Guide

The Gang walks through the newly released Wine and Dine race guide with a runner’s eye for logistics: updated expo hours, the shift to a 7 a.m. virtual queue for race merch and Brooks shoes, and what that earlier timing could mean if you rely on Disney resort transportation. Then we dig into the most talked-about change, the 5K. Start groups are tightly structured, timing chips are in play, and a new tear-off bib tag is designed to manage coral access. The race guide emphasizes the 16-minute-per-mile pace and even mentions a red flag at mile markers when you are behind pace. None of that has typically been enforced hard for the 5K. We share what the guide says, what it does not say, and the real questions runners are already asking about bathrooms, bag check, course flow, and getting back to the resorts.
We also cover the 10K and half marathon notes. Wine and Dine is famous for its post-race party at EPCOT, and the race guide details help you maximize it. Tickets arrive by mail for eligible runners, a digital gift card arrives by email, and you can enter EPCOT before the party window to grab a wristband. The party runs late, select attractions stay open, and lines can be heavy at first but often ease later plus everything you need for the EPCOT post-race party.
